Infonic announces the commercial release of Geo-Replicator 2008, the latest version of the world leading server replication software solution.

Support for Windows Vista

The product fully supports 32-bit versions of Microsoft Windows Vista for:
• File replication
• Web site virtualization (including Microsoft SharePoint sites)
• SharePoint 2007 replication

Improved Microsoft SharePoint 2007 replication

Included in this release are many improvements to Microsoft SharePoint 2007 replication functionality, with more document library and list settings now being replicated, and the overall performance significantly faster and more efficient.

Improved amendment distribution capability

More facilities have been incorporated to allow ease of deployment in different environments, providing functionality for highly configurable distribution to remote servers and users.

New File System Filter Driver

The core software now uses a Vista-compatible file system filter driver.  Such drivers are inherently more robust and reliable than older Windows driver models. 

Infonic Geo-Replicator

With over 90,000 deployed users Geo-Replication technology is now truly global. Land-based deployments have now taken place in Afghanistan, Australia, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Iraq, Kuwait, Mongolia, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore, Sweden, United Kingdom and the United States of America. Maritime deployments now number more than 350 vessels with over 100 more vessels licensed and pending deployment. Microsoft SharePoint represents a major opportunity but there is increasing interest in using Geo-Replicator across other platforms and applications for server replication and synchronization.
